Bombing near shrine kills 9
A car bomb detonated near a shrine in Najaf, Iraq, today, killing nine people and wounding 23, police said. Also, an Iraqi considered the prime suspect in the 2005 kidnapping of an Italian journalist has been captured, multinational military forces said in a statement. Muhammed Hila Hammad Ubaydi has strong ties to terror leader Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi, considered the head of al Qaeda in Iraq.
