Instituto de Ciências Matemáticas e de Computação (ICMC), at University of São Paulo (USP), was created in 1971 and works in the development of scientific research and the training of human resources in Applied Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Optimization, Statistics and their related areas. It is located in Sao Carlos city. ICMC is constituted by four departments with more than 150 faculty members, all of them holding PhD degree.
